It’s What You Don’t See

Nov 11th, 2009 by turtlegirl76

Let’s play Romper Room today, shall we? Get out your magic mirror!

I see the February Fitted Pullover…

In the middle of the second set of decreases for waist shaping.

I see the Fair Isle Let it Be sock.

IMG_6105
Currently serving as a class sock. This Sunday is the final session for my second class. Sock is waiting to show them how to kitchener the picot hem.

And I see Christine’s Baby Booties.

A charity knit for the Guild. So much fun to knit!

But what’s missing when you look through that magic mirror? (And no, it’s not the Smooshy Stripey Sweater. That’s on Christmas hiatus.)

Stumble It!

    Gee…a test on a rainy Wednesday! I don’t see a Ripple sock!

    Christmas hiatus?

Chocolate! The answer is always Chocolate!

I’m trying not to cheat and use Christine’s answer of the Ripple Sock, but it is missing.

My guess is Candi’s Ripple sock too. But that’s too easy since it’s in your side bar. Hmmmm……..

I know what’s missing, but I won’t spill the beans. :-D that Feb. sweater is looking fantastic! And I want to know what needles are in those booties. They look like Signatures, but I know that can’t be! So I’m guessing an old pair of Boye or something like that, but they’re flaking at the tip.

One of these days, I’m going to try your hemmed sock cuff, although the picot is not my cuppa tea. Fun Wednesday post! Apparently, it made me really wordy!

Well, the obvious one is the Ripple sock, but then there’s always the other mystery sock.

Hey, I cast on some fingerless mitts this weekend with my Manos silk blend. It’s so soft!

The Ripple sock would be my guess. I don’t remember if you finished the TTL mystery sock either.
    Those baby booties are cute.

Yeah, I was gonna say the mystery sock too. Hey, I wanna know what those needles are too!

Wow Cristi, I just love the fair isle sock! I am intrigued that you have a picot method for the cuff that looks like you did the double cuff thingy and are now kitchnering in picot- did you come up with this? Congrats on your Quiviut by the way- just amazing.

Me thinks it has something to do with a few cats ;) I love that bag in the back of the booties..yikes, I need to knit some of them too…not for me obviously ;) Hehe..Christmas hiatus

How are you liking the FFP pattern? I’m in the mood for another sweater, but don’t have the yarn for the one I *really* want to knit. Been pondering this one or a retake on Durrow. Hmmmm…

  12. on 11 Nov 2009 at 3:23 pm12shannon

the answer I’m guessing is socks! I need to get a pair of the booties started – they look so cute.

Love those fair isle socks. Cannot wait to them complete.

  14. on 11 Nov 2009 at 6:57 pm14Jeanne B.

I was going to say, Calvin and Ripple themselves. Hmm. Weren’t you knitting an amazing vest last time I checked?

  15. on 11 Nov 2009 at 8:03 pm15bezzie

Hee hee! I’m just tickled by the booties! They look like moon boots!

I’d say it’s the match to the first Zodia sock! Wasn’t that going to be a ripple sock?? Your pullover is going to be beautiful! Don’t you love that yarn? I’ve got a stealthy project out of the same thing (different color) that will hopefully be revealed in the next month or so! We shall see.

The sock yarn you’re sending to me for no particular reason?

Oh, OK… a girl can dream, right?

The Fair Isle sock is incredible. I just love the bright colors.
