You know, Facebook is like a muse. All shiny and pretty on the outside. Luring you in with the possibility of reconnecting with old friends, and reaching out to new ones. But then it sucks you in and shows you it’s evil side. I’ve been lured into Mafia Wars and I’m loving every second of it. If you play, please be sure to join my mafia.

Oh right. It’s Friday. Thanks, Calvin. Today’s yarn is some beautiful Cherry Tree Hill Super Sport I won from a Knitmore Girls Podcast contest. I had posted some suggestions in a thread on their Ravelry group and got drawn for a prize.

I love when that happens. I had originally won a signed copy of The Friday Night Knitting Club. Lucky me already has one, so I offered to turn it back into the prize pool for someone else to win. Jasmine was so generous and insisted I still get something, so she offered up this yarn from her very own stash.

This color is “Indian Summer”. I used to own this very colorway in the Super Sock weight, but I destashed it last summer. Welcoming it back into the stash was easy. I love Cherry Tree Hill.

The weight on this yarn feels like Socks that Rock Mediumweight to me. This might be a good yarn to use for another pair of Rogue Roses. I did love that pattern. Hmm…

Now, if you’ll pardon me, I have some Independence Day loot to find by looting some gangsters.

   That’s a gorgeous yarn and absolutely your colors. It would make really pretty Rogue Roses. I’ve been keeping an eye out too for a yarn to knit that pattern in again.
   PS- I haven’t gotten sucked into mafia wars yet on FB, but I may be caving. BEWARE! hahahahaha

   I won’t do Mafia Wars. . . no way. I can’t get sucked into it. I spend too much time online as it is.

    I LOVE Mafia Wars! It is so addictive. I live for energy packs which is very sad since, I too, joined Facebook for the networking. Oh, well – plundering is sort of like networking.

    I will not even look at Mafia Wars…nope. Will not be sucked in. FB already takes up far too much of my time – reconnecting with all these people is time consuming. Then there’s XBox 360…Resident Evil (*hangs head in shame*).

    And….zoiks that yarn would be lovely knitted up in Rogue Roses. I wish I had liked that pattern…did you knit it on two circs? I am thinking that might have been easier than dpns. I also had a hard time not getting a hole around my rosebuds.
