Maryland Sheep & Wool: Part 1B - More People
May 5th, 2008 by turtlegirl76
Told you I’d finish up tonight! When we made our way to the Ravelry meet-up, one of the first people I ran into was Dulcedosa! Finally!
She gives great hugs and has a smile that glows across the room. I wish I had been able to spend more time with her. That time will come. ![]()
Once Jess & Casey showed up, my mission became that of delivering a very special package to Casey for Rosi.
He was thrilled with his special package and thanks Rosi greatly.
I also got to see Jochibi again as well as the first and only employee of Ravelry, Mary-Heather!

Jochibi & Mary-Heather at the meet-up
Then it was back to the main barn where we ran into >Roxy and found Bezzie again.
And I got to see Buttercup42 again (also behind the plot to conceal Bezzie’s presence). I did get to meet DPUTiger as well but alas, I only have proof from behind since I realized too late that I didn’t get a pic of her & I on my camera.

DPUTiger’s ass and Tigger. Rawr!
Finally, the day came to an end, and we were hoping all day to find Shannon(Ravelry) and Stephanie (Ravelry) and heard that they were supposed to meet up with Buttercup42 at the main gate so we waited. And it paid off.

Stephanie & Shannon
ETA - No, that’s not just “the shocker” It’s also going to be the name of a couple skeins of hand dyed yearn by Stephanie. hehehehe
“One in the Pink” and well…can you guess the other?
And yes, I did bug them about getting out another podcast since I’m fresh out of SSK’s to listen to. ![]()

Ha! You sure did say 2nite!!
AAAH you meet Carmen IRL!!
And that RosiG is something else! :o)
Fab people Fab times there!!
Wuhahaha, that finger pose is still giggle worthy!
You hooked up with my bitches! Woot! for Stephanie and Shannon.
You and Dulcedosa are like the “dueling smiles!” Both just gorgeous.
Don’t you just love knitty weekends!! They are a must
The friends make it soooo much fun! Looks like you had a great time!
Seriously, where are the yarn pics…hehehehe
Dude, you got to meet so many cool peeps!! I would’ve loved to go! I’ll have to plan to attend one closer to you guys!
(and thanks again for that!)
Dude, it looks awesome! MDSW was so much fun when we went 2 years ago - maybe we’ll be able to go back some day.
Stash acquisition? Hmmmm?
::sigh:: Nothing like seeing Roaming Tigger and MY BIG FAT ASS on my favorite blog. Wish I hadn’t still had my fleece around my waist, but thanks for the reminder that I need to get back to my workout routine
I figured RT is enough of a “star” of my blog (a la Ripple/Calvin) that it might help a person or two recognize me if he was watching out the back of my backpack. Of course, you and your posse were the only ones I met!
Your friend is giving you “The Shocker.” Something you need to tell us, hon?
I’m so insanely jealous of your ivy league vest. I bet you got a lot of comments wearing that around!
I have it on good authority that Casey did indeed like his special package - very much.
Looks like you had a great time at the festival!
It’s so cool to put faces to blogs. Thanks for that!
can’t believe I missed you and them their… Oh well.. there was so much Yarn to see. Next year hopefully. Great pictures btw… what camera do you use… I am in the market to buy a new one.
Casey loved his package so much he carried it all over the festival with him!! LOL!
Looks like fun and the weather was great!!!!!
I forgot to tell you after the last post–your vest rocks!
This was so much fun to see & read! I am so jealous. Next year, I’m coming from Dallas. (bijouxmaster)
