Well, ya’ll know I’ve been working on the secret La project for a little while. It’s so close to being done!

I got a quarter of the way through the bindoff last night and started falling asleep so I had to call it a night. But it will be fiished tonight! Also, it’s name is Serenity. And yes, it’s inspired by Firefly.

Next up, everybody’s favorite - the Einstein Coat! (And the crowd goes wild!)

Yeah. Not much different than last week but I did tack on a good 15 ridges. Now that the blanket is done I should make more progress.

No progress on the Bart sock to report. Still. But I will have it done before the end of the year. There. That’s a goal for ya.

Now, two new projects! The kind you just couldn’t wait any longer to start. Saturday, before my shift at Charlotte Yarn, I knew I wanted a small portable project to work on. I’d had this project in the back of my mind for a little while. Graylagran had just finished a pair of Silk Garden Lite socks and I really wanted to make a pair. These are another pair of sister socks, but a different sister this time. (Ya like ‘em Candi?)

Super quick, gratifying knit. Gotta love Noro. And it is Norovember! And finally, Aimee and I started a KaL for the December Lights Tam (the cover knit on the IK holiday issue). We figure if we’re both knitting it and cast on for it the same day, that means it’s a KaL. You should join us! It’s fun!

Oh. And I didn’t blog yesterday because really, I had nothing new for ya. All kitteh pics were a blur. *sigh* Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I’m not sure if I’ll be blogging tomorrow but most likely, yes I will. I will have the blanket FO shoot to do!

I saw the yarn for your tam on Ravelry and hadn’t connected the dots on the pattern. Looks great! When I read the post title, I had George SCREAMING “SERENITY NOW!!!” from the end of that episode in my head and figured you’d had it with the Einstein coat. I’m glad I was wrong on that one!

hey there! i saw you at the yarn store last saturday and wanted to stop by to check out your work, which is absolutely lovely! firefly is a great show…we’re finishing up the series on dvd, but i loved the ones i’ve seen so far…and the movie.

anywho, i finished that funky, blue scarf i was working on in the shop and posted pics on my blog if you get the chance to check it out. i think they’re putting pictures on the CY blog, too.

Those socks look so pretty! I really wish I liked knitting socks. Maybe I’ve just been using the wrong yarn, or the wrong colors. I don’t know. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

i too am trying to decipher the mystery of the serenity … whether ‘firefly’ or NA or AA. serenity now … right?

anyhoo …. i’m loving the noro candy sockens … with the colder weather, i am seriously wearing the handknit socks! and that pink will warm the heart and feet =)
