Morning Routine
Jun 28th, 2007 by turtlegirl76
Calvin follows me around and plops down on the ground no matter where I am.
Ripple chows down and ignores Calvin.
This is a daily routine Chez Turtle when I take out the camera. This is why I have a hard time getting pics of Ripple. As soon as I take it out he starts rubbing up against me wanting to be pet, then he heads for the food dish. Constantly moving. Calvin is transfixed by the camera and either stares right at it or just knows not to move. Sometimes I wonder what goes on in their heads. I think Calvin is the Pinky to Ripple’s Brain.

NARF!! Lol Incidentally, I just picked up volume 1 of the Animaniacs last week. Trying to get my kids hooked on that stuff.
I can’t get my kids to behave when the camera comes out either. The baby crawls up to about a half inch from the lens and the toddler runs around yelling “CHEESE!!!” and puts on a total cheeser face. There’s no natural posing in this house. Lol
What do you want to do tonight Ripple?
The same thing we do every night Calvin!!!!
oh! I so miss that cartoon, did you see it’s out on DVD now? Definitely on my wishlist. I get accused of playing favorites cuz one of my boys is a ham for the camera and the other one hates to have his pic taken.
I have the same problem with Thomas that you have with Ripple. If I get on Thomas’s level he thinks its time to be loved and petted and won’t stay still for a photo. So it almost takes an act of Congress just to get a good shot of him. Give hugs to Ripple and calvin for me.
Turtle, it is funny because when I try to take pictures of my Sisal Pig, 99% of the time, she will immediately look away. Hee hee. She is camera shy.
I used to have cats that cooperated with my photo shoots. Now, Katie is just like Ripple (look at my project photos, butt/back/ear/whisker/paw). I’ll have to upload the pic I got of her on my phone. It’s the only good one I have of her looking at me.
Such pretty babies!
That’s a great kitty analogy. It fits them perfectly. Calvin is getting so big!
Kami always sits still when I’m taking pictures of her. She’s a great model. Even if she’s playing with something she’ll pause and hold that pose as I snap her photo. She’s very vain.
Yup, I have a kitty that is more like a dog too. she follows me around and will even play fetch when the mood strikes her. Oh, and thanks, now I have the theme to Pinky and the Brain in my head! Pinky and the brain, pinky and the brain, one of them’s a genius, the other’s insane….
Aw, Bezzie beat me to it!
It’s been an Animaniacs week around here - we got volumes 2 and 3 of Animaniacs AND Pinky and the Brain last week…
What a great photo of Calvin! Ripple looks like he would rather eat without the photo shoot. Wendy says her Lucy likes to pose for the camera. Some cats want to be blog stars, and some just want dinner.
can I borrow your kitties please? they are SO adorable! and so nice to occasionally pose for you to get a picture.
I have my own cat (oh hey a clue! heh–not a good one though, lots of knitties have cats) who alternates chewing on the camera and running from it. silly kitty.
anyway, I really stopped by to let you know that mini parcel the first is being delayed by a box shortage, because flat rate boxes are expensive to fill with yarn, and that’s all I have. so box shopping this weekend, and next week, the post! tell the cats to watch for the postman…
*cackles*
You’ll have to resort to stealth tactics to catch Ripple in the act.
Calvin is such a cutie though that I could never tire of seeing pics of him.
