Calvin is just all about running around the house willy-nilly in the early AM. My downstairs neighbour must hate me. He jumps in the bathtub and does backflips or something but it’s REALLY LOUD whatever he does. Then I bust out the toys and all hell breaks loose, but it’s quieter at least.

Ah yes, I remember the bathtub thing, from when our household still had cats. (We can’t have more cats, because of husband’s asthma.) You might try placing a large rubber mat in the tub to muffle the noise, and/or make it less attractive for playtime. My cats seemed to enjoy “scraping” with paws on the smooth tub surface.
Talk about some cuteness..
Sigh. I miss the kitten stage. It goes by so fast.
The red puff ball thing is Mika’s favorite toy. I wish they could get together for a play date. But I’m not sure I have ample homeowner’s insurance to cover the potential damage.
When you’re that cute, you can do whatever you want. That’s life.
My cat still does the bathtub thing. And she’s 16 years old….her other favourite game is to get between the shower-curtains and play peek-a-boo. Very cute.
I just got a kitten a week ago, so I know totally what you mean. It is exhausting. Good heavens. Now, excuse me, I have to rescue the squeaker from behind some furniture that’s she’s gotten herself behind and can’t figure out how to get out of.
Close the bathroom door at night?
What does Ripple do when Calvin plays?
Thanks for making my day.
It’s a question for the ages, like where do we go when we die?
How CAN one can sound like a herd of elephants? Springs is pushing 10 and still does this. Let’s hope Calvin mellows out a little as he gets older.
Hehehe! He sure does like that red glitter pompom! I’d love to see the bathtub gymnastics!!
I saw the Harlot speak tonight. Then I waited in WEBS to get her autograph, and picked up some Wick so I could try your Red Dwarf socks - I’m very excited!
Calvin is sooooo cute!
Our cats used to do the bathtub thing in their younger days. Our boy kitty still likes to just get in the tub and sit or lick the drips of water that inevitably escape the faucet.
My female Roxie doesn’t do it too much any more, but does at times get into the empty tub & chase her tail. She flips & rolls & makes a LOT of racket, like body slams. Bet that’s what Calvin is doing too ! She’s the only one I’ve ever had that chases it’s tail.
Aw, but he’s so itty bitty. It’s just such a shame they go through that baby phase so quickly, it’s so much fun, if not a little loud.
Calvin pictures make me want a kitty.
Have you taught him any tricks yet? I’m trying to teach Tony the, “Rip the throat out of unsuspecting prey” trick.
Not on real things, of course. But when he’s ready? He goes from toys to people. That’s the kind of cat he’s going to be.
Awww, how cute!
Calvinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
(now bring out Ripple, please)
