3rd Time’s a Charm

Y’all know I can wax poetic about how much I love the Embossed Leaves sock pattern. Now, I love it even more. Look! My first socks in truly solid sock yarn!
See that heel? Looks a bit different, eh?
I went with an Eye of Partridge heel this time. I really like the look of it. As written, the pattern calls for a plain stockinette heel. Well, I did that for the first 2 pairs. I wasn’t that jazzed about it but it didn’t bother me that badly. This time, I went with my gut and tried out a new heel. I’d done this on my last pair of Cascade Fixation Ankle Socks, but you can’t tell at all with that yarn. Ah well. You sure can tell in this stuff! I love it, and I hope my sister does too. Happy Birthday next Tuesday Big-Middle-Sis!

My two pairs both have that heel - I agree, so much better than plain stockinette! I love the color on this - so rich and fun, and it really sets off the pattern.
Whoa, those are gorgeous — what fantastic stitch definition!
Oh, how beautiful! I love that pattern and you did a fabulous job. I have a pair that I started awhile ago. I know they’re going to be too big for me, but I can’t bear to rip them out because they look so nice. So they sit.
What is it about people wanting to wax poetic about their knitting lately? Now I’m getting really really tempted to start a bad poetry contest…
The socks are awesome! Now I’m going to have to make a pair of “Embossed Leaves” for myself. Love the heel, too.
Gorgeous! EoP is my flap fave.
Beautiful!
It’s been the fashion recently to do intricate knitting patterns in patterned yarn , but patterned socks really shine in a solid or mostly solid yarn, don’t they? Great job!
Oooh.. pretty!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THOSE SOCKS!
Once again, GMTA! I have the EXACT same yarn!
I am so going to make these socks now, so we can be TWINS!
PS! How come my comments never show?
*pout*
Wow, those are gorgeous! I must try that heel (I have the instructions somewhere and have planned on it, now it’s a must). It makes the sock. You have wonderful technique. Your stitches are so carefully and elegantly formed! Just beautiful.
Those are gorgeous! More gorgeous than the Pomas.
I’m inspired to spice up my heel routine a bit more now (but I’m still knitting them top down dpn-wise!
)
That pink is intense!
You used a solid sock yarn. Solid. Are you feeling all right?
Lovely! The eye of partridge heel is an excellent choice. I think I totally need a pair of these socks.

Your sister will love them - what a thoughtful gift!
These are just stunning. Your technical skill is also amazing. I love CTH yarn.
