Too Bad it’s Not Wednesday

Because then it could be “WiP it out Wednesday”. It’s what I originally intended to do yesterday but I didn’t get a chance to take pics of my WiPs. But hey, World Turtle Day is much more fun.
First up, the purse knitting. This is the Sister Socks I’m currently working on for she of the size 11 feet.
Notice the nice round toe. I absolutely love the fit of it and will be using it in the future. When I’m done the pair I’ll publish the pattern for it that I’ve figured out. The yarn is OnLine Supersocke 100 in the color “Summer”. It’s so freakin’ soft I wish these were for me, but alas, they are not and I’m being good, not greedy.
Next up, the other Sister Socks, formerly known as “Pomatomus” and currently known as “Embossed Leaves” because well - I sucked at Pomatomus.
Just the foot left to go on the second. I love this pattern. They go so fast. I started these on Saturday. The yarn is from Discontinued Yarn. It’s mill ends that they aren’t allowed to put the original label on, but I’m here to tell you that it’s Cherry Tree Hill. For half the price. You can find it on this page. These are being done in the Hot Pink color.
Finally, there’s Sizzle.
It should have been done ages ago. I started it right before MDSW. But I’ve had other things distracting me. Like socks and my spinning wheel. I’m making it in Cotton-Ease. It’s so soft. I love the way this yarn is knitting up.
And that’s it. I know what you’re thinking. “But Cristi. Weren’t you working on a Chevron Scarf?” Well, yeah. It hasn’t been touched since I showed it last week. I’m ripping it and going to make JavaJem’s version in Jaywalker style. It’s so cool! And I think I may add a third color in just for kicks. And maybe a garter stitch border as well. I dunno but as soon as the embossed leaves are done and my sizzle is finished then I’m going to get on that one. I hate having so many things going at once. I know it’s just two socks and a top but still. I like to concentrate on one thing at a time. That’s why the Embossed Leaves socks are nearly already done. Y’all think I knit fast? Maybe. But I like to think of it as being faithful to one project at a time.
So, YPF is tomorrow. Shall we go for fiber, sock yarn, or sweater yarn?

Lovely work, but size 11? That’s a lot of knitting! I hope you have a lot of TV to watch, because after a while, the sock itself ceases to amuse.
Also, you’re about the fourth person who has frogged the Pomatomawhosies in the past week or so. Now I’m scared to start mine!
Oh, cute stuff! (I do like Wednesday Wip-it-out, but oh well!) I’m getting caught up after extended exhausting house hunting. Ack! Just typing that makes me want to start packing.

WiP it out Wednesday. Snerk. Sadly I’d bet I could run several of those in a row - my WiPs are taking over the house! I’m dying to see how your Sizzle comes out - mine was a total bust. Wrong yarn (I used Knit Picks Shine Worsted - terrible idea), too short (despite my measuring and trying on) weird arm holes… I think I have a strange body. Can’t wait to see yours!
I love the socks you’re making for your sister - lucky for her they’ll be too big for you. The pinks for the other 2 projects are gorgeous.
