Roving!
This lovely braid of Corriedale is called “Vincents Wheat Fields” and is 3.8 oz of handpainted spinning fiber that I picked up from Noelle’s Noodles, and etsy shop I stumbled upon while I was poking around looking for some pretty handpainted fiber, at a reasonable enough price that I wouldn’t try “saving it until I get better” like some of the other stuff in my stash. Lemme tell ya, for $13.40 (including shipping) this stuff is awesome. No, I haven’t spun it up yet but I can’t wait! Let’s take a closer look, shall we?
Gorgeous stuff isn’t it? I do believe I’ll be buying more from her in the future. She’s got lots of great stuff there. She’ll even spin up the roving for you for a small fee! Amazing.
Oh - Day 5 update. I was so tired last night that I was binding off the body and had to stop from sheer exhaustion. Besides, I have to give Pam a glimmer of hope, right?
ETA - in honor of Yarn Pr0n Friday. I put some Prawn together, and you can too! Just click the pic to mix the pieces up and solve the puzzle:

aWow. That’s gorgeous. Just gorgeous.
Poor Pam. You’ve left her in the dust, it seems.
That is just yummy! Very springy can’t wait to see how it spins up!
I think I may have seen that on etsy and said, hmmm….maybe I should get that! Can’t wait to see how that spins up!
And the puzzle? How’d you know that I LOVE puzzles?
Beautiful roving. The puzzle was fun too. Thanks!
And the taunting continues… we’ll see how things are after the weekend, Ms. Hare.

That is fabulous, I love the colours
Wow, I think I just dumbed up the average taking 7 mins to do that puzzle!
Love that roving! Now spin baby spin!
Wonderful colors. What are tyou going to do when your roving stash matches your yarn stash? That is why I haven’t tried spinning yet.
Oh, that is quite gorgeous fiber. I can see how you had trouble resisting…
Oooh fiber pr0n. Always good to mix it up once in awhile!
Beautiful roving!
Ooooo pretty. Oh my. It’s the perfect thing for spring.
Wowza! That is gorgeous!
Less yarn. More cat.
What Jon said……..heh. What a gorgeous picture on today’s Random Shot. Such a sweet face.
Ooops …..Random Image. sorry.
Thanks for the puzzle! Very fun! Your roving is beautiful, and I think I’m quite glad that spinning just doesn’t get my creative juices flowing. I mean that in the nicest possible way, of course!
Honestly, that roving looks just like one of his paintings.
